1. Asymmetric catalysis, special interest in the development of novel chiral ligands for catalytic propargylic transformation.
2. New catalytic synthetic methodology and technology and their application in the rapid synthesis of diverse functional molecules.
Dr. Xiang-Ping Hu was born in 1974. He received his BS degree in Applied Chemistry and MS degree in Pesticide Science from China Agricultural University in 1996 and 1999 respectively, and PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, in 2003. He then spent one year as a postdoctoral fellow at Edinburgh University. He joined Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 2006, and started his independent research career in 2011.
Dr. Hu has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers and 2 book chapters. His research interest is currently focused on the development of novel ligands for catalytic propargylic transformation.
