Heterogeneous catalysis, catalytic conversion of C1 molecules, in-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy, advanced catalytic materals synthesized by flame spray prolysis and sputtering methods, carbides catalysts
1. Design and synthesis of novel metals and metastable oxides for catalysis via sputtering (SP) and flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) methods to regulate the electron structure of metal atoms and lattice oxygen properties of oxide support.
2. Investigations on catalytic conversion of small carbon molecules, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methanol, ethanol, esters, hydrogen, oxygen, water and methane on the espect of lowering noble metal utilization, enrichment of specific product, enhancemant of stability and discovery of new active species.
3. Analysis and modelling of the catalytic mechnisim during the process of adsorption, activation and conversion of small carbon molecules on the surface of catalysts, mainly by in situ/operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
