Biography

Dr. Wenling Chu was born in Dalian in 1970. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Xuzhou Normal University in 1992, and her Ph. D degree from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. From 1998-1999, she worked at Fritz-Haber-Institut as an AvH fellow. 2002-2004, she was a JSPS research Fellow in Hokkaido University, Japan. In 2004, she worked in the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis at DICP, and was appointed as a professor in 2012.


Research Fields and Interests:
Focus on the new catalytic materials and catalytic reactions, mainly on selective oxidation of light alkanes to oxygenates, such as :
1. The selective oxidation of propane to acrylic acid
2. The selective oxidation of ethane or ethylene to acetic acid
