Biography
Professor Jizhong Ren received his BS degree in Inorganic Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in 1991 and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 1997.He has nearly twenty years of research experiences in membrane material, membrane preparation and membrane process. Among the various positions that he held in his career, he was a Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Fellow in University of Heidelberg (Germany),a research associate in Institute of Materials Research & Engineering (IMRE, singapore), a research scientist in Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering (IESE singapore), a research fellow in Hyflux Ltd (Singapore) and a deputy general manager of Tianbang National Engineering Research Center of Membrane Technology Co. Ltd (TBM). Professor Ren joined the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 2010, and he is also a vice director of National Engineering Research Center of Membrane Technology.He started and leads the research group DNL906 (Membrane Material and Engineering) at the Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy.
