Biography

Prof. Shudong Wang received his BE degree from Taiyuan University of Technology in 1985 and his PhD from Dalian University of Technology in 1993. Then he joined Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (DICP, CAS) and was promoted professor in 1997. Since 1998 he served as the coordinator of Lab of Environmental Engineering. He worked as JSPS Fellow in Institute for Environmental Management Technology, National Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan during 2001.3-9 and visiting scholar in University of Poitiers, France during 2005.2-2005.5. Now he is the head of Division of Energy & Environmental Engineering, Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy (DNL) and the leader of Energy and Environmental Engineering Group.

During his research career for more than 20 years, he was responsible for series of projects subsidized by the National High-tech R&D Program, National Key Technologies R&D Program, National Basic Research Program of China, the enterprises cooperation plan and the Sino-foreign cooperation project, etc. He has published 103 papers and participated in 2 books, applied for more than 87 patents including 3 PCT and 1 Japan patent.

He is the expert of the National High-tech R&D Program in energy field. He is also the deputy director of sub-committees of Rare Earth Catalytic Materials, the Chinese Society of Rare Earths and the deputy director of sub-committees of Chemical Engineering Design, China Petroleum & Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association. At the same time, he is on the editor board of several academic journals including Chemical Engineering & Technology, Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering, Journal of Fuel Chemistry & Technology, Chemical Industry and Coal Chemical Industry.
