Research Interests
Asymmetric synthesis

1. Transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of heteroaromatic compounds: Asymmetric hydrogenation of heteroaromatic compounds with chiral transition metal complexes as catalysts, especially qunolines, indole, and isoquinolines.
2. Synthesis and application of some novel chiral ligands: Synthesis of some novel chiral ligands with sulfur; Design and synthesis of some new chiral ligands based on Stacking Effects.
3. Asymmetric total synthesis of alkaloids: Total synthesis of some quinoline and isoquinoline alkaloids based on methodology of asymmetric hydrogenation of quinolines and isoquinolines.
