Research Interests
DNA catalysis, Raman spectroscopy
1. DNA catalysis: Non-canonical DNA structures, like G-quadruplexes, have been implicated in variable cellular processes. We focus on the diverse and tunable structures of these non-canonical DNA structures and discuss their potential opportunity in catalysis, with particular attention to the chiral catalysis. It is anticipated that these researches may stimulate new understanding the essential role of non-canonical DNA in the biological process from the perspective of catalysis.
2. Raman spectroscopy: UV (resonance) Raman spectroscopy is employed to probe the structure of biomolecules (protein, DNA and carbohydrate) in aqueous solution. With developing short-wavelength Raman optical activity spectroscopy, we further reveal the chiral feature of biomolecules from the level of vibrational transitions.
