Research Interests

(1) High Efficient Ambient Ionization Technology and Mechanism: focus at the generally used ionization sources in IMS and MS such as photoionization, electric spray, chemical ionization, and etc., explore their mechanism of ion-molecular reactions and the related influencing factors, build up theoretical foundations for the design of advanced ionization sources;

(2) Ultra High Resolution Ion Mobility Spectrometry: study the ion motion behaviors under the coupling of multiple physical fields such as temperature, airflow, and electric field from bar to mbar pressures, explore the key factors affecting ion high fidelity transmission and efficient separation, and provide theoretical guidance for the design of miniaturized ion mobility spectra, ultra-high resolution TIMS, and TIMS;

(3) Multidimensional Spectrometry Technology: solve the key technical problems such as efficient sample utilization, ion non-destructive transmission, and time-domain matching in interfacing IMS with GC, MS, and etc., to support the development of rapid detection technology and instruments of multidimensional spectrometry.
