Jin Yan professor has published over 70 articles which were covered by SCI, with more than 70 authorized patents, including over 10 patents implemented in industrial applications. She has extensive collaboration with large enterprises such as Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Kweichow Moutai Distillery Co., Ltd., and Dong-E-E-Jiao Co., Ltd.

Jin Yan professor focuses on bioactive peptide research, employing AI and omics for large-scale prediction and screening from complex data, with applications in deciphering bitter peptides in milk and identifying antimicrobial peptides. The team of Jin Yan professor developed the "CataAI" expert system, which was officially launched at the 2024 Science Intelligence Summit, for intelligent analysis of multi-modal characterization data in energy catalysis. Additionally, professor Jin Yan’s team tackles key bottlenecks in the deer industry by advancing core technologies and standardizing deer-derived medicines, fostering innovation in drugs and health products to drive industrial and regional development. Notably, professor Jin Yan’s team has applied AI, omics, and spectroscopy to achieve breakthroughs in non-destructive testing and quality grading of deer antler.
