On April 17, a delegation led by Prasanna V. Joshi, Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation, together with Eric Shen, Global Director of Carbon Capture and Utilization, visited the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
DICP Director Prof. LIU Zhongmin, Deputy Director Prof. LI Xianfeng, and representatives from relevant Functional Departments attended the meeting.
Prof. LIU Zhongmin provided an overview of DICP's mission, major research progress, and long-standing collaborations with ExxonMobil. He emphasized that DICP remains committed to high-level openness and actively encourages its scientists to collaborate with leading universities, research institutions, and global companies.
Mr. Prasanna V. Joshi introduced ExxonMobil's recent developments and the objectives of their visit. He noted that DICP has demonstrated outstanding research capabilities in low-carbon technologies and expressed strong interest in establishing deeper collaborations in carbon capture and downstream conversion.
Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on frontier research topics in these areas and explored opportunities for future cooperation.
