Prof. Rong Li, Center for Cell Dynamics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

She obtained her B. S. and M. S. degree from department of Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics, Yale in 1988 and Ph. D degree from department of Biochemistry & Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco in 1992. After that, she carried out postdoctoral research in department of Molecular Cell Biology, University of California, Berkeley from 1993-1994. From 1994 to 1999, she was appointed assistant professor of Department of Cell Biology, Harvard Medical School. From 2000 to June, she was appointed Associate Professor in Department of Cell Biology, Harvard Medical School. From 2005 to 2015, she was Investigator of Rong Li Laboratory, Stowers Institute for Medical Research. From 2006 to 2015, she was appointed Professor (affiliated) in Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology, University of Kansas School of Medicine. From 2015 to now, she is Professor of Department of Cell Biology, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Professor of Department of Oncology, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Sydney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor of Department

of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Johns Hopkins University.

Her research focused on Mitotic cell division, Aneuploidy and cellular evolution, Actin cytoskeleton and cell motility, Cell polarity and Cellular quality control and aging. She has been honored Giovanni Armenise/Harvard Foundation Award, Hoechst Marion Roussel Research Award, Biological and Biomedical Sciences Mentoring Award of Harvard Medical School, The Alexander and Margaret Stewart Trust Pilot Project Program Award, William B. Neaves Award of Stowers Institute for Medical Research, Watkins Visiting Professorship of Wichita State University and Bloomberg Distinguished Professor (endowed chair) of Johns Hopkins University. She has published more than 100 hundreds publications in famous scientific journals such as Nat Cell Bio, Cell, Nat Com, Nature, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA and Nat Med.
