Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program,Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars
Biography:
Lin Zhuang is a professor in College of Chemistry and Molecular Science, Wuhan University. He obtained has his doctorate in 1998 in Wuhan University and and was then promoted to professor in 2003.During 2004 to 2005, he went to Department of Chemistry, Cornell University, as visiting scholar. He has been supported by the National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program(2016), Chang Jiang Scholars Program(2015), the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars(2011) and Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University(2004). He has got 2nd Prize (1st Contributor) of National Science Award of the Ministry of Education (2011), Distinguished Lectureship Award of Chemical Society of Japan(2011), first Chinese Electrochemical Youth Award(2007) and Youth Chemistry Reward of Chinese Chemical Society(2004). He was the chair of Electrochemical Society (ECS) in China section(2010-2011),vice chair of International Society of Electrochemistry(ISE) in the Division of Physical Electrochemistry(2011-2012).At present, he is vice chairmen of Chinese Society of Electrochemistry(2015-2019); member of Experts Review Groups, department of chemistry sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China(2012~);vice editor in chief of ActaPhysico-ChimicaSinica(2015~)as well as member of editorial committeeof Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry,Science China: Chemistry, ActaChimicaSinica and Journal of Electrochemistry.
Abstract:
In this report, professor Zhuang will introduce recent research progress on fuel cells in his group, including the theory to describe reactivity on solid surface, catalyst design, alkaline polymer electrolytes and non-noble metal catalyst based fuel cells.
