Conference: International Symposium of Biomass Conversion to Energy, Chemical, and Material

Posted: 2014-12-15

Time: December 15-16, 2014

Location: 1st Floor of Energy Infrastructure Building(Building No.5)

Introduction

With growth in the world population and the global economy, the consumption of fossil fuels has been accelerating and the trend will continue with rapid depletion of the limited fossil resources. The increasing human carbon-footprint has noticeably caused deteriorating environmental consequences, including global warming and air quality issues. Lignocellulosic biomass resources have been recognized as potential alternative renewable feedstocks for the production of biobased fuels, chemicals and materials. Twelve scientists at the leading edge of biomass researches from different parts of the world will join at the International Symposium to discuss the challenges and outlook of biomass conversions.
