On February 1st of 2015, the Second Members' Meeting of the Second Academic Committee for Key Laboratory of Separation Science for Analytical Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. The meeting was chaired by Academician Yukui Zhang; more than 150 people including eleven Academic Experts (Academician Peichang Lu, Academician Erkang Wang, Academician Hongyuan Chen, Academician Zhifang Chen, Academician Guibin Jiang, Academician Tao Zhang, Prof. Xian'en Zhang, Prof. Qiankun Zhuang, Prof. Huwei Liu, Prof. Yuliang Zhao, Prof. Zongwei Cai), Director Hongfei Hou from Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education,Chinesese Acadmemy of Sciences, Director Rui Cai, Yu Zhang and Dr. Heng Cao from Science and Technology Office of our institute, Prof. Hanfa Zou, Prof. Guowang Xu and the research staff and postgraduate students of key laboratory attended the meeting.
Director of our Institute, Tao Zhang, made a speech. He pointed out that in last year, Key Laboratory of Separation Science for Analytical Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences obtained great achievements in the aspects of scientific research, laboratory construction and talent culture and our institute will continue to support the development of key laboratory as in the past. After that, Academician Peichang Lu delivered an important speech about the history and future plan of key laboratory. Next, Director of key laboratory, Prof. Hanfa Zou reported the general development, major scientific achievements, research progress, existing problems of key laboratory in 2014 as well as the future mission. The academic backbone Prof. Lihua Zhang, Prof. Mingliang Ye, Prof. Haiyang Li and Prof. Guowang Xu reported the newest scientific achievements of key laboratory from different research directions respectively. Subsequently, the experts visited the laboratories of research groups in key laboratory.
The academic committee members gave full recognition to the innovative research of the laboratory during the past year. Besides, they generously offered pertinent recommendations on the positioning and expansion of research directions and introduction of talents. Finally, Academician Yukui Zhang, chief of the academic committee, expressed his sincere gratitude to the committee members for their valuable suggestions, as well as the great atmosphere our institute offered. He also proposed specific requirements for the development of our Key Laboratory, CAS.
