On September 20th and 21st, the first China-Italy bilateral workshop on graphene research was held at DICP in the conference room of basic energy sciences building. The workshop, aiming to promote the exchange of graphene research with international colleagues and facilitate the international collaboration, was co-chaired by Professor Granozzi from the University of Padova and Professor Bao from DICP.
14 scientists from Italy and 20 scientists from China who are dedicated in the research on graphene and related two-dimensional materials were invited to attend the workshop. The main topics are: 1 ) the application of graphene in energy conversion and storage ; 2 ) graphene catalysis; 3 ) Preparation and functionalization of binary layered materials.
Graphene and carbon-based nanomaterials have important applications in energy and catalysis. DICP started early in the research on the preparation and energy applications of graphene materials and have made ??impacts in related research fields. This workshop enhanced the dynamic academic environment of DICP, increased the visibility of DICP in graphene research and strengthened the exchanges and collaboration between domestic and international research groups.(Group 502 Xiumei Jiang)
