A delegation consisting of 13 researchers including Professor Guowang Xu visited Dalian Municipal Central Hospital on March 25 to attend the signing ceremony of Joint laboratory on translational medicine between Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dalian Municipal Central Hospital (DMCH). Dr. Heng Cao from Department of Science and Technology of DICP, President Xizhuo Sun, Secretary Fang Wang and staffs of different clinical branches of DMCH participated.
Professor Xu stated in his open speech that DICP is taking great efforts to promote the bilateral cooperation. Translational medicine research is the major subject of Biotechnology Division of DICP. Multiple cooperation relationships between DICP and clinically related institutes/hospitals have been set up. The achievement is encouraging. In order to strength the translational medicine research, DICP is also attracting experts in the field of translational medicine all over the world. President Sun said that DMCH is one of the greatest 3A hospitals in Dalian with sizeable patient resource and multiple disciplines which are valuable prerequisites to carry out translational medicine research. DICP is famous for its distinguished capability in China. The advantage that DICP and DMCH are in the same city should be utilized rationally. The cooperation between us should be enforced.
Professor Xu and president Sun signed the cooperation contract standing for two sides, which indicated that comprehensive collaboration between DICP and DMCH is starting. After the ceremony, scientists from DICP and clinical staffs from DMCH discussed about cooperative topics with shared interest and defined the timetable. (By Gao Peng)
