The kick-off meeting of Helmholtz-CAS Joint Research Groups (HCJRG) project “Study on the synthesis, structures and performances of complex hydrides systems for REVersible high capacity Hydrogen storage at low temperatures (REVHY)” was held at DICP on March 3, 2014. The is a collaborative research project between the groups of Professor Ping Chen and Dr. Martin Dornheim, which is sponsored by CAS and the Helmholtz Association, respectively.
Dr. Martin Dornheim, Dr. Klaus Taube and Dr. Claudio Pistidda from Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthach and Prof. Rui Cai, Dr. Chen Zhang and researchers from Professor Ping Chen’ group attended the meeting. In the meeting, Prof. Rui Cai, the director of Science and Technology Department, made a welcome speech to German visitors and encouraged deeply exchange and further collaboration from both sides in the future. After the welcome speech, Dr. Martin Dornheim and Professor Ping Chen presented the research situation of Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthach and DICP, respectively. At the same time, they introduced research progresses on hydrogen storage materials in each group.
After the meeting, a workshop on hydrogen storage materials was held. Researchers from both sides presented their research progress in detail and discussed the cooperative plan for the following three years. (Taxt by Teng He & Dong Xie Phote by Xiaohua Ju)
