The 4th China-Canada Systems Biology Symposium was held at University of Ottwa, Canada, on June 15th to 17th, 2016. Professor Daniel Figeys, Professor Jean-Francois Couture from University of Ottawa and Professor Yukui Zhang from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics were the co-chair of this symposium.
The opening ceremony of this symposium was chaired by Professor Daniel Figeys. Professor Mona Nemer, the vice director of Univerisy of Ottawa, and Professor Yukui Zhang gave lectures on the opening ceremony. 12 scientists from our institute, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Fudan University, Nanjing University, South University of Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and over 100 scienists and graduate students from Western University, Université Laval, Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montréal and University of Ottawa attended this symposium.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together internationally recognized scientists and students from the fields of systems biology, protein biochemistry, and proteomics to promote scientific discussion and the development of new collaborations.
The 1st China-Canada Systems Biology Symposium was held in October 2010 in our institute, and Professor Hanfa Zou of our institute was the important co-founder of this symposium. This 4th CCSB is dedicated to the memory of its co-founder Professor Hanfa Zou. (Text / Image by Fangjun Wang)
