The project titled “The Operando Raman/IR Characterization System”, which is supported by the CAS Renovation Program for Functional Technique Development of Instruments and performed by Dr. Lin Li from the 1502 Research Group, has passed official Acceptance Inspection on 31th July.
After listened to the research report, the budget report and the test-operation report, the Acceptance Inspection Experts investigated the research documents and conducted on-site verification of the performance of the system. Finally, the experts come to the following conclusions. An advanced operando Raman/IR system has been developed, which can be used for in situ characterization of adsorption and catalysis under the real reaction condition. The technique has been successfully applied in the studies of gold catalysis. The research work has achieved the objectives of instrumental functionalization, and fulfilled the contract requirements. The experts agreed unanimously that the project passed the acceptance inspection.
*The term operando spectroscopy implies that the catalyst characterization information is being conducted simultaneously with online product analysis.
