Co-supported financially by the Third World Academy of Sciences(TWAS) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), Prof. Dr. Nagwa Abdel of Mansoura University, Egypt, was invited as a visiting scholar to carry out academic exchanges in the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis(SKLC), Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics(DICP), from March to May this year. During her stay in DICP, Prof. Nagwa will conduct extensive scientific discussions with Prof. Can Li, Head of SKLC, and other DICP scientists. She will also take part in certain DICP research programs.
On March 25, Prof. Nagwa was invited to present a lecture with the title of “Synthesis and catalytic studies of homo- and heterobimetallic phosphine complexes and characterization of metal complexes derived from Schiff-base ligands”. Moreover, she also participated in the Symposium on Application of Nano-Materials in Energy Fields jointly organized by DICP and UCL of UK, and had active discussions with participants both from China and abroad.
