The Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry(JNGC), an academic periodical published in English by DICP, has been included recently as one of the citation journals by the internationally authoritative citation magazine of Science Citation Index Expanded - SCI(E), as well as by the other two citation analogues Chemistry Citation Index and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition. Citations of JNGC will be started from the first issue of 2007. This event was announced by the publisher of the three above-mentioned citation journals, namely the Thomas Scientific Group, in a letter to DICP not long ago.
Papers published in JNGC mainly involve research results of C1 Chemistry, as well as energy and environment implications of CO, H2 and CO2, all closely related to natural gas resources. In recent years, the impact of JNGC has been growing continuously, and besides research results from Chinese scientists, papers from researchers of other 18 countries, including USA, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Poland, Australia, Brazil and India, have been published as well. Papers from abroad constituted about 25% of the total published reports in JNGC.
