On April 19, Prof. Daoben Zhu (Member of CAS) from the Chemistry Institute of CAS was invited to visit DICP and give a lecture titled “Organic thermo-electric materials and devices ”. The lecturing session was presided over by Prof. Tao Zhang, Director of DICP. Present in the lecture were Prof. Xueming Yang, Prof. Yukui Zhang and Prof. Can Li and other scientists of DICP .

In his lecture, Prof. Zhu introduced the recent progress in the research of organic thermo-electric materials and devices, and talked on the application prospects of the materials. Prof. Zhu also encouraged the young scientists attending the lecture by pointing out that they should pursue originality in their researches with perseverance and free from distractions. In this way, they certainly would have rewarding harvest. Active discussions were carried out following the lecture.

After the lecture, Prof. Zhu was invited to visit the Bio-Tech Division, the Space Catalysis & New Materials Department, the Clean Energy National Laboratory and the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis of the institute.
