Prof. Lesley Yellowlees, Chairman of the Royal Society of Chemistry( RSC), UK, has recently informed in a letter that Prof. Tao Zhang of DICP has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). RSC was established in 1841, and is one of the most influential academic societies in the world.
Prof. Tao Zhang has been engaging for a long time in applied and basic researches of industrial catalysis. He has achieved innovative accomplishments in the preparation science of highly dispersed metal catalysts as well as catalytic conversion of biomasses. He has been awarded three times with the Second Class State Invention Prize for Science and Technology of China, and has published more than 260 papers in high ranking journals, including Nature Chemistry, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., etc., and his papers were cited for more than 3,000 times by other research papers.
