Barron, Member of the Royal Society and a prominent chiral chemistry and chiral spectrometry scientist from Glasgow University, UK, was invited as a Dayu Zhang Chair Lecturer to give a lecture in DICP on 22 October. The title of Prof. Barron’s lecture was “From Cosmic Chirality to Protein Structure: Lord Kelvin's Legacy”. The lecture was moderated by Prof. Can Li (Member of CAS). In his presentation, Prof. Barron talked in detail on the basic principles of chiral spectrometry and its applications in biological and other science fields.
After the lecture, Prof. Barron was bestowed with the Certificate of DICP Honorary Professorship and the Certificate of Dayu Zhang Chair Lecturer by Prof. Tao Zhang, Director of DICP, on behalf of the institute.
