State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology
Time: 9:00 AM, April 7, 2017
Location: Conference room of Biotechnology Building
In this report, Prof. GUO will talk about the characteristics of large-scale cultivation process and metabolic characteristics of lipid accumulation in microalgae from the perspective of multiple parameters. Also, Prof. GUO will introduce the method of photobioreactor design and its application practice.
Prof. GUO obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology in 2006 and now works at State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering and National Engineering Research Center for Biotechnology in Shanghai. He obtained his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Microbiology from East China University of Science and Technology in 1992 and 1998, respectively. From October 2004 to October 2005, he worked as a visiting scholar at University Of Strathclyde UK. He was promoted to Full Professor in 2010. He hosted several research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the project sponsored by the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry, and participated a number research projects of National 863 Plan. Now, he is hosting one sub-project of the special S&T project on treatment and control of water pollution, one research project of National 863 Plan and participating one project of National 973 Plan. In 2002, he won one Second Class Prize of The State Scientific and Technological Progress Award and received two First Class Prizes of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
